Alivia's first boo-boo..

Don't you have to know how to spell boo-b0 to be a good mom? Just kidding... Erin, can you help me with this? Anyway, Alivia was crawling down the hall way and she decided to slap at the air vent on the wall... well, it resulted in a small cut on her finger. It took a few minutes to stop bleeding and because it wouldn't stop, of course, we paged the Doctor on Sunday morning and asked his oppinion. We kept a band-aid on it and today it's much, much better. Once the bleeding stopped and we got a good look, we could see that it really was very small. And, of course, Alivia is such a tough cookie..she didn't even notice she hurt herself..not one little cry. I love this little girl!! She is so amazing!

Lunch time

GrandDad and Grandma's visit...

Alivia with Nana and Papa.

Could she Bee any cuter?

Well, her first Halloween and she's a cute little bumble bee. We didn't go trick or treating but my sister in law had a little party at her house and all the cousins dressed up. We sipped hot chocolate and sat around the fire.

A cute dinner picture

Even got green beans on the nose!

Burke's

Well, we really wanted to get into the heart of the city and really see Baltimore, not just the tourist sights... so, we asked a police man where we could go and get a home style breakfast and he directed us here to Burke's resaurant. It was a neat place. You step into a 30's style restaurant and it's nice and quiet...with a little jazz in the back ground. Much different sounds than the busy city streets (by the way I couldn't help it..I counted the amount of times I heard sirens go by.. 17!!). We ate our breakfast and it was very good..it hit the spot! We were ready to start a busy day of walking down town, sight seeing, and going to a wedding. I decided to use the facilities before we left and I was walked down the hall and was about to head down the steps to the rest rooms when what do I see?? A little mouse playing on the steps!! Needless to say I couldn't make it down the steps..I stood in shock for a moment... long enough to realize that this cute little mouse was quite at home here..with the noise of the people talking and dishes clanging in the kitchen.. that didn't seem to scare the mouse one bit, which leads me to believe that he stays there a lot and is used to that place!! Oh how I wish I would have taken those steps before I ate! Well, when you search out real city life, I guess that's what you get sometimes! It's surely something we laugh about now! If you are ever in Baltimore, do not eat at Burke's!

Oh, the beautiful city. What I wouldn't give to live in a big city like this!

On Federal Hill with a view in the back ground.

Trip to Baltimore

A good friend of mine who lives in Maryland got married last weekend. We were fortunate to be able to make it and had a great time. Our hotel was down town Baltimore and we saw a lot of the city. This is a view from the top of Federal Hill.

watching the vacume cleaner

Just thought it was cute, I was vacuming.. and I promise it's done often enough for Alivia to have seen it before... but she was very interested in what I was doing..she followed me into each room!

new toy chest

We got a new toy chest for Alivia and my cousin Jen and I put it together all by ourselves... well, Jen put it together and I held peices in place while she worked! Go Jen! She's the best... and it looks wonderful, doesn't it?

playing with my old fashioned dolls!

See what I mean! :)

I got out my old toys that I used to play with when I was a child....and here is Alivia playing with my cabbage patch doll. I think she'll enjoy playing with them even though they are old fashioned! So far, all she likes to do is play with the dolls hair..which for Alivia means eating and tugging on. Maybe I'll get a break from the tugging for a while.
Well, Alivia is 9 months old today and looks like she is finally getting a tooth!! Yay! I can see it barely coming through and you can definitely feel it. I'm so excited.... except I know it's painful for her. The last few nights she has had a little bit of a hard time getting to sleep at night. But, once she's asleep she's fine. Thank goodness for baby orajel.
